In the Netherlands, TNT Post is the market leader in the area of addressed and unaddressed mail

Every day, we deliver some 17 million letters and parcels to about 7.4 million homes and businesses in the Netherlands. In 2005, we collected, sorted and distributed approximately 5.3 billion items of mail. Our busiest period is around Christmas, when we process about 40 million items of mail per day. In total, during the holiday season some 200 million items of mail (mainly cards) are sent. Of the total volume of mail, 94% is business mail and only 6% is consumer mail, such as cards, letters or other kinds of mail. 
 
Personnel
TNT Post employs 80,000 people worldwide; nearly 40,000 of these deliver the mail in the Netherlands. 
 
Revenues
The introduction of many innovative technologies in recent years, including special sorting technology, means that we can rightfully call ourselves the most efficient postal company in the world. This furthermore allows us to offer our customers an excellent price/quality ratio.
