About Signature on delivery

When your parcel is delivered we can have the recipient sign for delivery if you wish. With our Signature on Delivery service, you can rest assured that the addressee has received the parcel.

Included in this service is:

  • Next-day delivery: we deliver parcels sent from and destined for addresses in the Netherlands on the first working day after the day on which the parcel was tendered, usually in the morning.
  • Saturday delivery: we also deliver on Saturday.
  • Track & Trace: we make it easy for you to track your parcel online via www.tracktrace.nl.
  • Second delivery attempt to consumer addresses: if there is no one at home to take delivery of your parcel, we make a second delivery attempt later.
  • Parcels held for three weeks: if home delivery is not possible, the addressee will be notified that the parcel will be held for collection at the post office for three weeks.
  • Standard proof of posting receipt: you receive a proof of posting receipt when you tender your parcel.  

Please note: You can only use the Signature on Delivery service if you have a parcel contract with us.

How does it work

Drop off
Simply drop off your parcel at the post office or a TNT Post Service Point and our employees will handle the rest. You can pack your parcel yourself or use our handy ready-to-use parcel packaging available for sale at the post office. If you pack your parcel yourself, make sure that the packaging is sturdy and strong enough to protect the contents.

You can also prepare the parcel for dispatch on your own; you just need sturdy packaging, parcel stamps and the necessary dispatch documents, which you can pick up at the post office or a TNT Post Service Point. If the outlet has a special self-serve mail-intake facility, you can deposit the parcel here and save yourself even more time.

You can post your parcel at a post office or TNT Post Service Point; you’ll always find one nearby. They sell stamps, hand over mail and accept and frank letters and parcels. Simply go to the shop counter for any of these services. You can recognise a TNT Post Service Point by the red “TNT Post Servicepunt” backlit sign mounted outside the shop.
